So anyhow spent most of last week out of town, turning around and headed to Detroit wednesday night...so talk about stacking up the mileage?
Anyhow...home again...trying to get my baby fish to grow. Annoying they've been in the breeder net for 3 months and still arent much bigger than a peice of fish food. Plus trying to construct a safe place for baby fish in there....i see them, then a few days later they are gone...damn gold fish...sitting there all fat too.
So...as you may know I ran for metro council district 4 in 2002. Obviously I lost...horribly....lol....but I won. How many 23 yo gay white boys can run for office and not come in last....(I was 5th out of 8 I think...??) AND....keep in mind I am in a district that is heavily africian american and it was on alot of peoples lips that only a black man should represent the area. So...unaware what I was doing and totally the long shot.
But time changes...and I am going to run again. This time using the knowledge from the last time...(#1 ignore the Pacs and civic groups...spend that wasted time on actual voters. Also...same lines....BUY MAILING ITEMS....direct mail is lord. #2 Dont trust strangers with major projects...history has shown me in this regard, volunteers are great...but not in decision making positions...#3 Save a hundred dollars a month at least towards the campaign and start off the race with 4000 in the bank, over shotting my previous 3000 dollars in donations.
So what shirts do ya'll like for 2006? I am trying to construct stuff and have it all ready to go when show time hits. I need one cool one for the campaign, and one for freebies to people...
Alrighty...so for the campaign
For the freebie give away shirts trying to keep it cheap BUT still first class...so here is what I fgiured looks good...only like 6.13 a shirt too. The way the emblem looks here is where I am leaning for the actual campaign emblem...letterhead, cards, pens, yard signs...whatnot.
and then just a couple more interesting items...
Its all about portraying your message visually as well as in print and word. I wanna look like a serious player. As a PR man...the truth means nothing, perception is the truth.
I can win this time. The guy who won got 33% of the vote basically....that was 800 votes. Plus he had that shotting at the night club he owns which doesnt look good for ya. I am just going to buy the voter registration lists that are updated as to who actually has a history of voteing...then make it a point that my name and ideas are in front of them alot. So....district of 30,000 or so.....but I foresee about 1000 people being my audience.
Anyhow...off to work some more on this...
